Volta Studio

Make the movie in your head.

Volta Studio is an AI film production platform. You write the script in a real screenwriting editor, break it down the way a production office would, build the shot lists and the schedule, then generate stills, video and voice directly from the shots themselves. It is the production, not a chat window: every page knows about the others, and everything leaves as ordinary files. The premise is that the movie in your head should not need a studio budget to exist.

One studio. Every department.

Everything a film needs before the camera turns over: the script, the breakdown, the characters and locations, the shot lists, the schedule and the call sheets.

Every page is a real page.

Not a chat window with a film-shaped prompt. The tools a production actually runs on, each one aware of the others.

Every model. One crew. Zero API keys.

The best image, video and voice models, wired into your shot list. You spend tokens; Volta holds the keys. New models land the week they ship.

It remembers the whole story.

Every copilot shares one long-term memory of your project: the bible, the beats, every scene, your notes, and what you decided last week. Every answer names the passages it came from.

Films are not made alone.

Invite the people you actually work with into the project and choose how much of it they get. You see each other work, in the same script, at the same time.

Yours, in formats that open anywhere.

Write it, plan it, generate it, then take the whole thing away. Everything leaves as ordinary files the rest of your workflow already reads, so nothing you make here is locked in here.

Common questions

What does open beta mean for me?
It means you can sign up today with no waiting list and no invitation, and everything you can see works: writing, breakdown, shot lists, scheduling, generation and the community. It also means Volta is young and ships most weeks, so you will occasionally meet a bug or find something has moved. Telling us is the fastest way it gets fixed, usually in days.
Is my work safe while Volta is in beta?
Your projects, scripts and generated files are stored and backed up the same way they will be after the beta, and everything exports as ordinary files that other software reads, so nothing is trapped here. Volta is not a backup service though: keep your own copies of anything you would hate to redo, which is good practice with any tool and worth saying plainly about a young one.
Will prices change when the beta ends?
Plan prices and token prices can change at any time, in beta or after it, because the model providers change theirs. What never happens is a retroactive change: a new price applies only to what you generate afterwards, and the charge for any generation is the one shown before you ran it.
What happens if something breaks and I lose tokens?
A generation that fails after taking tokens is refunded to your balance. If something else goes wrong, tell us in the Discord, where the founder reads everything, or email support@voltastudio.app and a person answers.
What is Volta Studio?
Volta Studio is an AI film production platform for filmmakers. You write the script, break it down into characters, locations and props, build shot lists and a shooting schedule, and generate stills, video and voice from the shots. It covers everything up to the shoot, plus a community to publish into and a place for finished films to screen.
Who is Volta Studio for?
Filmmakers, writers and small production teams making short films, features, series and commercials, whether the finished thing is shot on a camera, generated, or a mix of the two. It assumes you know how a production works and gives you the real documents rather than a simplified toy.
How is it different from an AI tool that makes video from a prompt?
A prompt box makes one clip. Volta makes the production around it. The script, the breakdown, the shot list and the schedule are real linked pages, so a generation starts from a shot that already knows its scene, its characters, its location and its look, instead of from a blank line of text.
Is Volta Studio free?
Opening an account is free, and the production side of the studio is free on every plan: writing, breakdown, shot lists, scheduling and the copilots. Generation is the part that costs, paid in tokens, with the price shown before you spend anything.
Do I need my own API keys?
No. Volta holds the model contracts and the keys. Every model in the shelf is reachable through the same interface and paid from one wallet, so there is no separate subscription per model and nothing to configure.
Who owns the work I make in Volta?
You do. Scripts, boards, shots and takes belong to you, and everything exports as ordinary files that other software already reads, so your project is never trapped in the tool. Note that AI-generated material carries its own copyright questions in most countries, and those are yours to weigh for your own project.
