It works across pages, episodes and seasons, and every answer names the passages it came from, so you can check it rather than trust it.

What is story memory in Volta Studio?
It is a searchable long-term memory of one project. Your bible, beats, scenes and notes are indexed as passages, and every copilot in the studio reads from that index, so a question asked on the shot list can be answered from something you wrote in the script.
How is story memory different from a long chat context?
A chat forgets when its window fills, and it only knows what you pasted into it. Story memory is an index of the project itself, so a question in episode six can be answered from a decision made in episode one, and the answer cites the passage it used instead of asserting it.
How is story memory measured?
In passages, not words. A passage is a scene, a section of a character sheet or a note: a few hundred words with a label. A feature film is a few hundred passages and a full season is roughly two thousand, so the allowance on a plan translates into something you can picture.
Which plans include story memory?
Story memory is a paid-plan capability, and each plan carries its own passage allowance. The Pricing page lists the allowance per plan alongside roughly what it holds in script pages.
What happens to my story memory if I cancel?
Your scripts, boards and text stay. The memory index is warned first and then cleared after a grace period, so cancelling does not silently delete anything on the day and does not keep your passages indexed forever either.
