What is Volta Connect?
Volta Connect is a community for filmmakers attached to Volta Studio. You publish work straight from the studio, keep your own profile page, and follow and message other filmmakers. It is built for showing craft rather than farming engagement, so it has no karma, no public follower counts and no trending page.
Do I need a Volta Studio account to use Connect?
You sign in with the same Volta account, and a Connect account does not oblige you to use the studio. Publishing from inside a project is the fastest route, but you can join to read, follow and talk without making anything.
Is Volta Connect open yet?
Connect is built and opens alongside the studio. The Connect page shows its current status, and while it is not open it takes your email so you hear on the day it is.
Why are there no follower counts or trending pages?
Because those numbers change what people post. A public score rewards the work that performs rather than the work that is good, and a community for a craft is worth more without one.
